Who we are

CW Watches is an independent luxury watch dealer based in Canterbury, Kent. This website is operated by CW Watches (“we”, “us”). You can contact us about anything in this policy at cw.watchuk@gmail.com or on 07519 050636, or by post at Unit 6F, Lakes View Business Park, Hersden, Canterbury CT3 4JZ.

What we collect, and why

Order details — your name, delivery address, email address and phone number, so we can fulfil your order, arrange insured delivery and contact you about it.
Payment — payments are processed securely by Stripe and PayPal. Your card details go directly to them over an encrypted connection; we never see or store your full card number.
Identity documents — for delivery orders we ask for a photo of your passport or driving licence. This protects both of us against fraud on high-value items and supports our insured delivery. ID documents are stored securely outside the public website, are viewed only by our team, and are deleted once your order has been verified and dispatched.
Enquiries — if you use our contact or Sell Your Watch forms, we receive what you send us so we can reply.

Who we share it with

Only the services needed to run the shop: our payment processors (Stripe, PayPal), our couriers (to deliver your watch), and our email delivery provider (to send order confirmations). We never sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as required for accounting and warranty purposes. Identity documents are deleted once the order is verified. Enquiry emails are kept only as long as the conversation is live.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email cw.watchuk@gmail.com and we will sort it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
